Dan has been freelancing forever, whilst busy for some of Australia’s superior known brands. Behind 10 years spent designing in Melbourne, the attract of returning to a country life beckoned, and he moved to Benalla in rural Victoria with his wife. He has a wonderful, if naughty 4 year old, Ivy, who keeps him grounded. Dan is a bit of a jackofalltrades, having worked in various positions throughout his career. In 2010 he started Ellis Original as a freelance business, and became a fulltime freelancer in 2013. Alicia came on board at EC behind critiquing some of Dan’s work during a changing role with a client. He can also have the pastime of firing her if it happens again. Alicia lives in Shepparton with her partner, her baby bump, and their fur menagerie: cats, Jasper and scarlet, and Molly the Border Collie. Dan (or D2) has the inglorious, but much appreciated task of taking all our magnificent designs and making them actually work. Dan is usually based in Newcastle, but is somewhere in England at the moment with his partner, drinking crap beer, and keeping strange hours as he delivers our projects.
